It can be true. Some of us when we grow up end up realizing that we're more intelligent or more mature than our parents. I know I was in high school when I realized that I had more common sense than my mother. My husband was probably in middle school when he realized he was smarter than his parents. It's a tough lesson but one you shouldn't throw in their faces. That would be angst. Just know the truth in your heart and let it be.

Well I don't know you situation, but it is possible, some (men more often than women) never grow up. They are immature in their thinking for ever. Often criminals are of this nature, if they were mature in their thinking they would not do what they do. This is in no way saying your father is a criminal. As far as you being a teen, not a lot, but some are very mature for their age. ACtions show maturity, not age.

Yes, of course, why not? Maturity is not about age at all. I once knew a girl who acted like a parent to her single mother. If you think your father is immature, then you should try your best to be more mature than he is. Good luck!

It is true, parents are never more stupid than when their children are teens. That said, many people never grow up. You may very well have been ladened with Peter Pan as your pop!

yes, my whole life i thought i was smarter and more mature then both my parents.. and now 10 years later, i think it even more, even tho i did alot of stupid stuff, overall i think the maturity level was higher... but, as time goes on, kids are getting older and older in thier mind and body.
