In general why does one person dump someone be jealous of person they dumped when they find someone better?

I think it has to do with a lot of the time the "dumper" still has some feelings for the "dumpee" and so they have to convince themselves to dump the person. So afterwards they still go on fighting the lingering feelings. So those feelings make them feel jealous when they realize that the "dumpee" is doing fine without them and that they (the dumper) are no longer needed or missed.

It is the way life is and because I guess the dumpers find it upsetting that the dumpee's move on and most of the time it is the best thing to do anyway . They would rather have you pressing them out all the time over the reasons for the dumping .
Just move on easier said than done but it can be accomplished .
