In all seriousness just lay the casualty down prop head up with a pillow, cushion or something equivalant, Place a dressing on wound and apply pressure to it to stem bleeding. Call amblance
keep them calm by reassuring them, cover them with a jacket to keep them warm till cavalry arrive

Application of a tourniquet to the neck would occlude both carotid arteries,causing blood flow to the brain to be diminished or stopped......clinical death.......place patient in a semi-fowler's position(buttocks and legs flat,back and head propped at a 45% angle while holding pressure on the injury with a bulk dressing covered with a wrap bandage.do not lay the patient in a prone position(flat)

that could well be the case but in general just hold a sterile dressing to wound and reapply if it soaks through
