There was a well known case of a woman who won a large amount of money on the football pools (way before the lottery existed) and blew the lot. She wrote a book about her experience, must have been in the 1970s called "Spend Spend Spend" It's quite a sad story. I can't remember her name though.

Not personally, but I hear that some of the winners get addicted to drugs like coke, and then they spend every last penny on the stuff. I think it happens more than you think. They buy expensive houses and cars, and all the hookers and blow you could want. Before you know it, their poor white trash again. At least im pretty sure lol.....
