My female dog got lost 4 days ago. I'm still looking for her all over the neighborhood, putting ads, screaming out her name. I'm SO SAD. I have other dogs, and they all are important to me, but I can't resist the idea of not seeing her never again. Will there ever be a time to mourn her?

No, I love my dog. If he was missing its like a child you will never stop looking.
Hope she turns up.

When my dog ( pedigree GSD pup) went missing we printed up loads of posters with his picture on and offered a £100 reward for safe return.
The neighbourhood kids came and asked if we were serious and if we would give them the money if they found him, then they went running round everywhere searching and asking people. In the end this guy phoned and said he'd got him.
When we went to this blokes house he had our dog in a pen in his yard - obviously he was going to keep him but the kids had made such a fuss and alerted everyone in the area that I think he decided it was too dodgy. We gave him the cash though as we were so pleased to get the dog back.

yes, check all the shelters in your area, even the ones in nearby towns. ask all over, see if anyone has seen her. make a reward up of maybe $50 and put posters up all over with her pic, name ad ur phone number on it.
if she doenst show up in a month, im so sorry.
but, there are many stories where dogs that were lost for like 5 years come home!
never give up hope!
GOOD LUCK! I SOOOO HOPE YOPU FIND HER!

It is possible that you'll find her again, but even if you don't, someone else may find her and keep her. Since she didn't die, she is alive somewhere, and she is probably OK. Do check in local shelters and keep putting up posters and ads, but there is no reason to mourn, just hope for the best.

It's only been 4 days, you still have a good chance in finding her. Definetly look at nearby shelters and also don't forget emergency pet hospitals in your area. She may have gotten hit by a car or injured and is now being treated.

dont give up, i had the same trouble on January 29. dont give up, keep searching, put ads up in all grocery stores, all vets and animal shelters near you! i know its hard i lost my mini dachshund baby and he just turned 3 years old. its hard. someone might have him and they might have not seen the posters yet. you should get your dog microchipped at your vets. just in case one of the others get lost. it took me 5 days until someone called and told me that they thought they seen him on the side of the road. you could be lucky that someone finds her. i hope you find her in time. i wouldnt give up! if i were you! i work at a animal shelter and a lady lost her lab on day and she went back to the animal shelter every 3 days lookin and after a month she finally found her dog. someone turned it in .
DONT GIVE UP!

i know its hard. i went through the same thing. at least you still have hope. someone hit my dog in the middle of the night and we had to cremate him on february 4th. if you ever need someone to talk to im here to talk to.

You need to check your local shelters and make sure all your other dogs have the microchips so that if they get lost they can be scanned.

Be sure that you put up your notices at the schools near by. Kids see everything and I bet you'll find your dog that way.

That is what I did and it worked.

It sounds like you have started the process. Keep looking, but know that the worst could come. Call the humane society too, she may be there.
