No. A CCJ is a county court judgement, not a criminal conviction.

Hello

If a company is checking your credit worthiness they check to see if you have had any CCJ's (county court judgements) against you. This is not the same as checking to see if you have a criminal record. It's a completely different register/database. Similarly, if a company is doing a criminal record check before employment for example, the information shown could not show up your CCJ's.

CCJ is a civil offence and will not show up on any Criminal Record Checks.

However if your employer is doing a credit check on you via a registered credit reference agency these will show up.

The employer must first get your permission to ask for a CRB check or Credit check in both cases anyway.

Criminal record will show any cautions you have gotten since age 16, convictions, any prison time and any suspended sentences.

Generally No, as a county court judgement is a measure of civil disposals cast against you.

Whereas a criminal record holds any crimes you have been found guilty of.

There are cases where the paths cross, where civil injunctions are ordered with a power of arrest, but are disposed of in criminal court, in which case you will have both a criminal record and a disposal which will show on a CCJ.

but these are rare as they're bloody complicated.

hope thats answered your question.

no they don't but if you have ever been arrested for whatever reason expect a check to show it up. Even afer the 6 years or so when it should have been removed.

I needed a check for a job I applied for, I got the job then they rang to say sorry but i had something on my check, I knew what it was when and explained about it, I then checked with the people that provide the checks to employers who told me that it would cost them too much to employ someone to sit at a PC removing all the details after however many years it should be done. They don't think of what it would have cost us poor sods that don't get the jobs, I did get the job though after explaining what had happened.

Definitely not, a Criminal Record check is just that , a criminal record check not a financial record check, However if you are applying for a job or other voluntary post it is possible that your employer will also take up a full credit report on you as well as a criminal record check.
