taoism - it says relax and be natural, and everything will work out - if you want to give up you are already halfway there.

Do not convert to any religion.

If being Agnostic gives you purpose, peace of mind, and happiness, remain agnostic.

I know a good many people that are agnostic, with purpose, are happy, and have acquired peace of mind.

If being agnostic isn't working for you and you have already researched many religions, maybe look into a philosophy of life, which might bring you purpose, peace of mind, and happiness.

But do whatever works for you, providing you the most happiness and peace of mind in life.

The important thing is that all people respect
the Free Will of others.

You have to follow your heart. Maybe there is no organized religion that fits for you. If you are agnostic, no group or person can force you to believe anything. If you just want to assemble with people, join a club. Even a liberal religion, like the various pagan ones, would still stress moderation as far as alcohol consumption goes and intelligent choices as far as premarital sex.

Thats great that you are seeking. The bible says seek and you shall find.

Many people in this world will try to get to heaven on their own, with doing good things, but since sin can't be in heaven we all fall short.

Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.

God knew that we had a debt we couldn't pay, that's why he sent his son Jesus to Die on the cross for our sins.

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, he gave his only son, that whoever believes on him, shall not perish but have everlasting life.

We are given the choice to either accept Christ and Go to heaven, or reject this.

This is a free gift offered to all, God doesn't want anyone to go to hell.

Don't change and than come to God. Come as you are, and when you know him, you will be changed.

I think most religions condemn alcohol and pre-marital sex. So you might be out of luck there.

Edgar Allan Poe worship is the ideal religion. It does not condemn alcohol or premarital sex, and while we consider consumption (or tuberculosis) to be tragic, there is nothing more poetic than the death of a beautiful woman, so it's all good.

Well I think you need to research the different religions out there and see what suits your needs best!
this should be something you alone picks! don't let others pick your faith..
I would study a little bit of each and just see what one makes you feel connected to the unknown!

I'm thankful you want to learn about Jesus and Christianity. I hope what I say will be only a first step for you, and that you'll continue to grow in your understanding.

A Christian, very simply, is a person who has decided to be a follower of Jesus Christ. As you may know, Jesus lived in the Middle East about 2,000 years ago, and after preaching and teaching for about three years, He was put on trial and executed by His enemies. The Bible (our source of information about Jesus) tells us that three days later He came back to life by the power of God, and was taken up into Heaven. Someday He will return to conquer evil and rule over everything in perfect justice and love.

What sets Jesus apart from every other religious leader or philosopher? Simply this: The Bible says He was God in human flesh—completely man, but also completely God. He came to earth for one reason: to reconcile us to God. Sin had separated us from God, but Jesus (who was without sin) took all our sins upon Himself, and He died in our place.

Why did He do this? The Bible says the reason is because God loves us, and He wants us to be with Him in Heaven forever. It says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). I pray that someday soon you too will become Jesus' follower, by giving your life to Him.
