5. Two of his losses came, after he unretired, to Holmes and Berbick. Ali was not in Ali form for either of those fights. His three other losses were to the great Smokin Joe Frazier, Norton, and the not so great Leon "toofy" Spinks. Ali avenged all his losses except the last two to Holmes and Berbick He did not have the ability, due to his age, to beat the last two fighters he fought. His decision, to come out of retirement, was a bad one.

Assuming both boxers are in their prime, Mayweather wouldn't lay a glove on Ali. Ali didn't lose very often, especially in his prime. He lost once to Joe Frazier, (not in his prime) once to Michael Spinks (who he took lightly), and once to Ken Norton (broken jaw). The boxers you see today are only a shadow of what Ali once was.
