Yes, I know what most people will say "just let it go, and move on, find someone else" etc etc....but I'm just curious...
My ex of 2 yrs (almost fiance) left me 5 months ago and immediately started dating someone else. Now, I'm starting to hear about rumors that were spread about me, and lies....and I'm thinking that had a huge thing to do with why we broke up. That and numerous other things.
If you truly deep down inside love a person and this situation applied to you, would you try and talk about it with the other person? Or, just move on.....

My first question to you is: Why did you have to hear about these lies from others and not from him?
Do you really think he deserves you if he relies on gossip and doesn't even discuss this with you?
Oh, and he moved on pretty quickly after being your fiance for 2 years, didn't he?!
Get a clue, sweety. There's more here and you may not want to know about it. Yes, Move on! You deserve much better and he doesn't deserve any more of your time or tears!

That happend to me too. I turned emo. You shouldn't do that. Like my situation she immediately dated someone else. Now once she did that you have to realize she isn't worth it. Even tho its hard to accept the fact that she isn't worth liking there is nothing more you can do. Personally I think it would be a mistake to get her back or try to get her back. She don't know you well enough to trust you, even after 2 years! 2 years is a very long time for average relationships. And dumped you over a rumor?!?! if you understood and loved each other even the most convincable lie wouldn't break you two up.

Write him a letter, NOT AN EMAIL, explaining everything to him, even if he doesn't believe you at first he will reread the letter again and again and possible begin to see your point, if he really loved you then he probably still does, true love never dies. I mean I still love my ex boyfriend of nearly 2 years. Not in a crazy way or anything, i have dated many men since him and he is now married but he is still in my heart. So let him know how you feel on this and tell him to call you if he wants so that you can talk.

At first glance, I would have said, move on. Then reality set in. I think it's human nature to want to set things straight. I would probably call and tell him that you aren'l looking to get back together right away, but that there are things you really need to talk about. Tell him to give you this one talk and you'll walk away if he still wants that after you talk....and then give it all you've got. Good luck!

Most people don't tell lies about other's so much a a false witness version of the truth.
A lot of pople think lies have been told about them because its not the angle they like.

Sounds to me like he didn't trust to believe the lies. Coming from experience I would say move on. You would only be opening up old wounds if you talk about it.

If he left you just over rumors. You need to ask yourself is he really worth trying to explain that those things weren't true ... hell he didn't give you that chance before he broke up with you did he?

I think he just used that as an excuse to leave you. He wasn't man enough to tell you he wasn't feelin it. Good news he is out of your life. If he loved you and trusted you he would never have listened to what others said about you, he would have kicked their asses. I am sorry your heart is hurting, but I am glad hes is gone.
