I'm a very thin guy..I very busy with my work. I have cut down almost all my time to exercise. In fact all my energy is spent in my work. In the past, I feel good when i go for swimming and jogging. I hope to start exercise again. Is there any alternative simple exercises which I can engage in. Exercises which are relaxing and does not spend much time in?

If you love to swim this is excellent, spring is almost here, but using stairs and parking on the far side of a parking lot and walking really adds up. In fact I just read this morning that studies show excercise not needed to lose weight,it is the calories consumed that matters, excercise is for physical fitness and heart strengthning and stamina I was quite surprised.I also love to week end dance this really burns the calories besides being fun

For optimal health everyone needs at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity every day, you might want to try to get up a half hour earlier and do some yoga, or pilates, or go for a job or swim before you start your day.

You also need to keep in mind that most days of the week you need endurance activities for a healthy heart, but you also need flexibility and strength exercises for optimum health and to prevent diseases in the future.

As an added bonus, exercise is an excellent stress reliever after a long, hard day of work. It will help you sleep better, and be more alert for when you are at work.

I would definitely recommend that you start exercising again, so you can reap the benefits of an active lifestyle.

It's true that many people excercise to lose weight. But many people also excercise to get into shape and have a healthy lifestyle as well. As for simple excercises, you could just power walk around your block a couple of times. You could also do lunges, crunchies and leg lifts before you go to bed. If you want a more intense work out, Tae Bo workouts are usually 1/2 hr to 45 minutes and you are definately sweating in the end. Make sure that you stretch after your work out. Good Luck!!!

Exercise is meant not only for weight management but for muscle tone and for aerobic fitness. Exercise also releases endorphins in the brain and they make you feel good. So, try to do some exercise regularly.

Obesity is not the only reason for exercising. There are many other reasons to exercise such as:
* to lower cholesterol level
* Sleep better
* Lose weight, gain weight, or maintain weight, depending on your needs
* Improve your resistance to fight infections
* Lower your risk of cancer, heart disease and diabetes
* Help your brain work better, making you smarter.

and so on.
