It is nieve to assume that you would be able to deal with the inlaws that I have faced with my partner and the terrible ones some others have to face.
I am pleased that you get on with yours but you have no right to judge those who don't.
Would you like 2 people who treat the love of your life like crap and make him cry day after day. He was mentally abused and that cannot be accepted.

After so many times forgiving and forgetting my in-laws I am tired of being the one that is expected to turn the other cheek after they are rude and inconsiderate of me and my feelings! Families fight, families argue and not all members of the family always like each other~ We may love each other however we do not have to like each other, and I do not like the people my in-laws are! You are lucky to have the love that you do for your in-laws but most people do not feel that with due reasons! The other thing that I can hope for is that I learn from my mother in laws mistake and DO NOT BECOME HER when my sons get married and have wifes

You are one of the lucky ones that gets on with their in laws, but not everyone is the same. Some people are treated terribly by their in-laws and some people aren't its just the way of the world, not everyone gets on with one another.

My Mother and Father in law are the and were the greatest... My mother in law has passed away now and I miss her. She was never a pain like so many think theirs is. My father in law remarried and I like the new step mother in law as well.

aren't you special?! first off-my in-laws are not my family. they are my husbands family. i didn't marry them,i married him. second-how do you know that people aren't having real problems with their in-laws? you seem to be assuming alot here. third-you should suck it up and deal with the fact that people do have real complaints and not just the imaginary ones you seem to think they are.

naa, maybe you should live right next to them and see how it was. My husband can hardly deal with his parents sometimes, especially when they live 2 minutes away and haven't seen our daughter in 2 months. They always complain to us about not having any money.....but they always go out and buy things for themselves and s-i-l. They still owe my hubby money from when he was living at home and they always asked him for money.....they think everything that happens is our fault, and don't know when to keep their mouths shut, I don't usually go down there, just because I would rather not deal with all of the putdowns...........their loss, they are missing out on their grandchild!
