You are third cousins. Your mom or dad from your grandmother, and his mom or dad from his grandmother are first cousins. You are second cousins from his mom or dad from his grandmother and he is second cousins with your mom or dad. Making you third cousins.
And its still illegal to date, in case anyone was wondering. not that you were ;)

Cousins but it doesn't amount to incest,should you take it further..Just ask a few questions within the family and check if other cousins have married and had children together..It is only a problem from the "genes" point of view..So,obviously the closer you are,the more risky it is having children...I had an aunt and uncle who were cousins (married) had children,all fine..But my brother fell for one of them and let her go ..I'm sure you've got the picture..
