Friends come before lovers. You can always find another partner, you'll never find another frind like the one you have.

Find out what is upsetting your friend before you do anything. If it is the fact that she thinks you've betrayed her, then the friendship can't be saved unless you break up with him. You have to think about it, was she your best friend before he came along? Did she shun you and put you off to the side while she dated him? What is so special about this particular guy that you would give up a long time friendship for a probable short term relationship with someone that didn't consider her feelings either? You need to understand what is most important to you. Guys come and go. Best friends are for life.

I am in the same situation. Tell her how you feel about the guy. If she is your good friend then she will understand. Although you should not have to lose a friend over something as silly as a guy. If she tells you that it makes her feel very bad then stop the relationship. There are other fish in the sea besides your best friend's ex. Trust me.

I have been in that boat one time. I was were your best friend is right now. If your best friend is like me then she will get over it over time. There might be times she might be thinking "I hope they get hurt (emotionally) with him." It is your choice on what to do in this situation. If you really, really like this guy I say go for it and hopefully your friend will understand. But if she is a true friend she has the right to be upset but she also needs to understand your happiness too. It cannot be only about her.

Unless you know that you are going to marry that BF and spend the rest of your life with him it's not worth ruining a relationship with your best friend. Find someone else. There're lots of guys out there.

you are goin to lose one or the other, so pick which one is worth it.. do you plan on marrying him? if not, ditch him, it not worth hurting your best friend...reverse the situation.. how would you like it if she started dating your ex... and always remember,, what goes around omes around, and this might really screw u in the end.

She has a right to be hurt. You betrayed her. If she was truly ur friend you would have never dated her x without ok'ing it with her before hand.
