i will pretty much drive anywheres near ontario even michigan

look in the yellow pages and find a rescue shelter! you might not find one on the first visit, but you'll be saving a life of an otherwise doomed animal when you do find the pet for you!

Search the internet for pug or bassett hound rescues. I have a pug and I am happy to see that you are wanting to rescue one.

Adopt implies adult that needs a home, it is very rare that you will find a puppy. Bellow are the breed clubs for Bassets and Pugs. Breed clubs do have affiliated rescues all over the county! Contact the breed rescues.

Not sure about bassets. never owned one. Also check local shelters and adoption spots. I got my pug from an AKC shelter called P.A.W.S. but I live in Texas so that won't help you much.

Not cheap dogs though. Go i expecting to pay$150-$600 for even a rescue.
