Let me guess, they're not charging you for the dog you just have to pay for shipping.....
BEWARE! This is a very, very common scam. There is no dog. You will send your money and receive nothing in return.
Check out the letter on this page and see if it sounds like the people you are talking to....

If you want to bring this dog here, you need to check your local USDA office. Quarantine space needs to be reserved ahead of time and the quarantine time would be determined by where the dog comes from and the actual health of the animal. For example, if the dog comes from an area that has a rabies infestation and does not come with a health certificate indicating that the dog has been vaccinated, then the dog would have to be quarantined long enough to make sure that he does not come in with the disease and be vaccinated before you could take custody of him. Fees would probably be at least as much as kenneling for the length of quarantine and would likely also include veterinary care.

There is no quarantine in the US. I brought a dog to the US from West Africa and there is no quarantine at all. shots are required and a health certificate from a vet in Africa within 10 days of travel.I am not sure of the cost of the airline ticket now.

You will have to check with the consulate for your country to see if dogs can be imported from west Africa and what the current requirements are. it may need to be quarantined at a quarantine station , it may require an international health certificate,it may require rabies shots (among other shots) ,it may need to be vet inspected upon arrival. all of which you will have to arrange and pay for. you may check with the airline you are planning on using regarding the cost of shipping but they may be able to put you in touch with a local quarantine station (after all you cant be the only one shipping a dog through them) good luck

The Quarantee is for the purposes of not bringing diseased dogs into our country. Some dogs are kept for longer periods than others.
A call to the airlines might be a quicker way of finding out than here in Yahoo answers.. OR you could contact the breeder and ask them as they should have some prior experience... After all they are making the money for the sale...
GOOD LUCK

Unless you know these people personally, do a LOT of checking. This sounds like one of the scams that has been going around.
You send money, you never see dog and have no recourse!
