Several people have sent me video clips of the fighting at the doors of the mosque during prayers. Does anyone living there know why this is happening? The videos just show the clash, not what preceded it. Just curious to see if anyone knew. There is no media coverage of it here in the US.

To put it in very simple terms....
The crisis in Jerusalem is as follows.

Israel is digging up the ground right next to the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem so they can see if there are "Moslem antiques there" so the Israeli's can steal them (which they've already done), and then build this "bridge"up to the Temple Mount, or, as Moslems call it, Al Haram Al Sharif (Noble Sanctuary).
Muslim religious rooms, including, prayer rooms have already been found and have been destroyed by Israel. It built the foundations for the bridge on top of them.

Part of what the Muslims are complaining about is very simply:
A) That the Israeli digging will shake the foundations of Islam's 3rd Holiest Mosque (Jerusalem is Islams 3rd Holiest City).

B) That Israel will use the bridge for puposes other than what it is saying... (Like sending up Troops and Military Vehicles up to the Mosque..etc..

C) Muslim religious items are not for Israel and that Israel is destroying them

The simple fact is that the Jews have Always dreamed and Tried to Destroy Islams 3rd Holiest Shrine so they can build a Temple on top of where the Al Aqsa Mosque is.

They've also come close to destroying the shrine several times.
They've attacked it, burned it, destroyed parts of it (that had to be rebuilt) etc etc.

So thats what this is all about.

By the way, its a fact that the Israeli digging will shake the Al Aqsa Mosques foundations... Which everyone knows is Israel's Real Goal.

Al- Aqsa Mosque (in Hebrew: Temple Mount) is a holy site in Jerusalem sacred by two religions: Judaism and Islam.
It is the holiest site for the Jews because this is the place where the Temples used to stand (the Western Wall is the only remains of the Temple), and the third holy site for the Muslims because this is Mohammed's final destination in his nightly voyage.

During February 2007 the Israel Antiquities Authority started work on the construction of a new pedestrian pathway to the Temple Mount. The existing wooden structure was built as a temporary measure after a landslide in 2005 made the earthen ramp leading to the Mugrabi Gate unsafe and in danger of collapse. The works sparked condemnation from Arab leaders with a Syrian Foreign Ministry official stating that "Syria strongly condemns these violations, and considers them a blatant affront to Muslim waqfs and the feelings of Muslims worldwide." Similar views were made by Jordan's King Abdullah. However Jerusalem District Police Chief Ilan Franko said that the works were coordinated in advance with the Muslim Waqf that oversees the Temple Mount.

The Israeli fanatics are trying to create new history in a one of the holiest Islamic mosque " Al qusa " . The Israeli fanatics are ignoring the fact that Al qusa was built when there were no Jewish holy places for more than 3000 years and Al qusa is 1200 years old.

There are many factions and groups in Jerusalem in disagreement. The Palestinians do not, understandably, like the Jewish people for bombing them, tearing out their roads, the Jewish people want more land and do not like the border shooting and bombing by Hezbollah(an Islamic radical group backed by Iran). The peaceful Muslims hate the militant Muslims, yet neither like the methods of the USA and neither like the Jewish occupation of their already crowded countries.

It's hard to explain it.!
