my old room mate had a girlfriend that is 19. he is 41. I ended up moving out because the guy was a total nut job. I just never understood why a woman would want such a huge age gap. to me it was always kind of gross. he even has a daughter thats 13

I think it's gross too. She's either very mature or he is very immature...I'd guess the latter. I got tangled in a relationship like this (not that big of an age gap though) and regret it. It may work for some, but I thought it was just weird.

It is hard to understand. My ex is 50 and has been dating a 25 year old girl for over a year. I've asked the same question. Either she doesn't have much self esteem and doesn't attract men easily, or she likes the idea of being with an older man, maybe someone who reminds her of a father figure, or maybe he has money to spend on her - girls love a sugar daddy. On his part, older men love young girls, he could probably care less why she is with him.

When I was 44 I had an 18-year-old girlfriend who wanted to jump my bones two and three times a day. I didn't ask why, I just kept clean warm sheets and blankets on the bed!

Some girls want a man with experience. I personally always like going out with an older man because they tend to be more respectful and treat you better. This guy, however, sounds nuts. Hopefully she catched on to this and moves on.

i think i would be more interested in why a 41 year old man would be interested in "dating" a 19 year old girl.
seriously, what do you think they talk about? aside from sex what do they have in common? at least he was reasonable enough to go for someone of legal age.
