Firstly, you're not alone here. Many people experience these feelings and unfortunately, it is part of dating and getting to know someone. However, the key ingredient is to be happy with yourself and your own life. Because if you aren't, then that person will pick up on it. The biggest lesson I learnt very recently, is to not try to please that other person, when you know that the issue is not right or not what you want. You must be a strong enough person, as you were the one to break it off with the latest girl, so you are showing signs of strength and your own character, not just letting them walk all over you until they get bored and dump you. And thats even worse, believe me!! Dating is down to experience, both good and bad. There are a lot of people out there who appear good for you in the beginning, but then cracks start to show and their issues are apparent. That is not your problem. It's theirs. You sound like you know what type of girl you want, which is great, but be very wary of those 'signs' early on and don't ignore them. They can save you a lot of heartache down the line. Also, you need to focus your thoughts on your own life and hobbies. Meeting someone is just one part of life. You have other areas where people love you ie. friends and family. These are people who won't ever judge or leave you, unlike these wrong girls who don't know what they have in front of them. Focus your time and energy into things you like to do....and maybe whilst you're focused on that, someone will happen to come around the corner when you least expect it.

When people are in a relationship, whether u see it as good or bad, u must have repect enough to leave them alone. If the relationship is that bad, she will eventually leave, and when she does then u are free to make your move, but not until then. You don't want her leaving him because of u, and then maybe seeing it wasn't what she thought it would be, and going back to him. It is much better she leaves because of her own feelings and then she won't have regrets or guilt to deal with. I think we can look at many relationships and say that we could do so much more for a certain person, but it's not our place to make that decision.

Don't appear to be trying to interfere and take things slow - also don't appear to be 'wedging' yourself in between her current relationship is the wrong approach! If there are issues in the background with her current relationship they will surface sooner or later!

If she were interested in you, she'd break ties with her current guy. It seems like a waste of time. It's not wrong, but it doesn't sound like it's going to work.

Maybe tell her how you feel. Dont go into a friendship with this hidden agenda. If you tell her I am sure she will tell you if she is in a hapopy relationship or not.

Always go for the girl. Screw the other guy. If she likes him better than you, so be it. But you should absolutely go for it.

If she is not really in love then make your move.
There is no commitment from her to him at present.
