I am currently a student. I would like to know whether it is true that if i carry a heavy bag for long periods of time , it will result in hunchback?
if yes, what is the optimum weight of the bag that i should carry?
Thanks

It will not result in hunchback, but is can cause deformation of and misalignment of bones and muscles if carried on the same side repetitively. This is why the invention of the backpack came about. The concept is to distribute the weight evenly throughout the back though, reports of lower back pain are wide. The backpack is still a better option then carrying on one side or the other. The next invention needs to have a backpack / chestpack combo to evenly distribute the weight in a vertical position within the entire upper torso. Dollar signs.
