OMG are you trying to make your hair fall out. I though mostly its only between 10% and 20%. Id be very careful buying that as it may have side effects :S.

At a hairdressers cash and carry, you can buy up to 60% vol peroxide most of them will let you buy products, if you live in Britain look up Salon services or Sassi.
I would recommend 30% if you want to go very Blonde.and you know that you have to add a colourant as well which can be bought at the C&C also.
DO NOT JUST USE PEROXIDE.
If you are touching up the roots put mixture on roots only for 25mins then comb mixture to the end of your hair leave for five minutes and rinse, if you don't do this you're roots will be a different colour from the ends, remember to condition well after, DO NOT use a metal spoon or bowl.
If you are useing perming lotion at any time with blonde hair put some conditioner in the perming lotion this will stop the hair from breaking.
The easiest way to apply make four sections and either clip the hair or put a rubber band to tie up the sections, take one section at a time and make a half inch parting aply dye then make another half inch etc until the full head is covered.
A ltr bottle of peroxide or activator will cost about £3.50 and a hair colourant will cost about £6.50
Have fun.

It isnt 40% peroxide, it is 40 volume which is different. There are a few place that you can purchase the product, but I wouldnt suggest that you do this. When you are working with a high volume of peroxide there are lots of things that must be taken into consideration. You can not put the product on the already colored hair or you can cause more damage, causing the hair to break and/or fall out. When coloring your own hair it is difficult to see the back of your head and you could make mistakes causing large amounts of damage. If you are having a problem with your regrowth showing too quickly i would suggest maybe trying a different color that might be closer to your natural color. Another option might be to put low lights (like high lights just a dark color) in your hair so that you break up the blonde. This will help hide the regrowth and allow you to go a little longer between colorings. Before you try to color your own hair you need to talk to your hairstylist and see what he/she says that might be a better option.

Hi there

You need to buy jerome russell hair bleach
go to www.ebay.co.uk and type jerome russell in and you should see a list of different hair bleaches.

I use jerome russell all the time for my roots - have tried many others but none are as good and they do have 40% peroxide available

Hope this helps xx

i think you will find 40% would actually be illegal to use!!! think you may mean 40 volume which is 12% there is nothing higher in salons, there used to be 60 vol but it is not allowed to be used any more!! if you go dark on your roots try 20 vol or 6% if you are going 2-3 levels lighter use 30 vol or 9% and if its high lift tint use 40 vol be careful tho. hairdressers go thru years of training make sure youknow what you are doing and make sure you have the right colour!!!

the only place you can get that would be at stores like ummm armstrong mccall or sumthin like that and you have to be liscend cosmetologist to buy their stuff sorry. plus if you accidently leave it too long you will damage you hair.color is a wonderful thing but dangerous if u dont know how to use it properly

hair and beauty supplies/internet.

Be careful though, follow instructions and dont leave on longer than recommended.

Only use 40% if you are trying to lighten 5-6 shades lighter though!

for me it depends upon the girl. Like I might observe a girl with black hair and think she is totally hot yet see a girl with blond hair that is meh and vice versa.

maybe it's growing back so quick and looking bad because you should be a brunette and not a blond. not everyone can pull this look off....
