He is a man because all of the Greek text when referring to Him are in the masculine form

The Source of Life is WHOLE, (HOLY), COMPLETE. It's not until the Lifeforce leaves the Source, that it breaks down into what we understand as the Masculine and Feminine.
Our spirit is made of both these aspects of the Lifeforce. Though Life takes on predominantly masculine and feminine characteristics at the many levels of Reality. This is caused by a polarizing, magnetic pulling effect. The Masculine pulling one way and the Feminine pulling the other.
The Serenity Prayer is a good affirmation for balancing these two Forces of Creation.

This is a great question, but unfortunately one that can never really be answered. It's like the chicken or the egg question. No one can ever really know for sure. I know that most of the ancient cultures viewed God in the feminine form because women are the givers of life and so is God. More modern cultures believe he is a father figure. In my opinion, God isn't really either gender, although for the purposes of referring to God with a pronoun, I prefer to think of her as a woman.

Hope that helps....

I think God is a man. But I worship the Goddess and God so I don't have to worry about the sex of my God. Oh I love being Wiccan

The bible teaches the 'God is a spirit and must be worshipped in Spirit and in Truth' Your physical body is just a vessel that holds your spirit here for a time. It is your spirit that is God's and your spirit that will return to Him.

Neither and Both.

God is spirit. Spirit is not gender specific.

Asking this question about something that does not have a physical body is a misunderstanding.

It is the same as asking the gender of your washing machine.

Love and blessings Don
