I was wondering what might these symptoms be a sign of:

epilepsy grand mal seizures
wild bipolar mood swings, some violence and crazy talk
some loss of control of body functions

could these be related as a natural disease? could they be brain damage, if so, what could have occurred? could they be a sign of the delayed effects of past drug use of minimal amounts of cocaine, heroin, meth, and marijuana?

Thanks.

thanks.

again, its not me. i dont do drugs. thats why i ask. i only know of someone thru a friend with these symptoms. im trying to put it together to think of what it could be. i wondered if this person has a known disease. all i know is about the past drug use, which was minimal. it wasnt an addiction that raged and caused stealing and things. it was just foolish dabbling from what i know. thanks for your answers.

It could be post tramatic stress, which can cause seizures & bipolar mood swings. But it could also have to do with the drug use. All of those can cause severe damage. Cocaine can even kill you the first time you use it. You should tell this person to go see a neurologist.

Hope this helps....

With grand mal loss of body functions can happen. Bipolar, is psychological and relates according to most as chemical problems in the brain. I doubt that its minimal drug use or half the world would be exhibiting these symptoms. Brain injury can result in epilepsy, but people can also have that from birth. If you had an injury severe enough to cause grand mal you would have known it, we aren't talking about a bump on the head.
People can have more than one thing at a time wrong with them and if you have severe epilepsy then you might have problems dealing with it and with others reactions to it. I am assuming you have a doctors diagnosis and you aren't giving labels to a group of symptoms you see all by yourself.
I used the word you, but it needn't mean you= the person here simply read it as you=the other person

Could be a hundred things, you need to get in to a nuerologist and get a proper diagnosis. Yahoo answers really is wonderful, but this is the type of thing that you need a professional to actually see you in person.
