Sony camera battery charger lead, can I use another in Oz?

The plug on it is heavy, but it separates from the charging unit easily with a 2-hole socket. I hav limited luggage weight, so can I borrow one from a friend when I get to Austalia or would it harm the battery or just not charge? it is a DSC-T7.

YES! the BC-CS3 Sony power unit will accept a standard 2 pin lead and is multi voltage, so will work anywhere. You could even buy a lead in Maplins without a plug, and cut it shorter, then fit an Oz plug when you arrive.
