It seems like we end up feeding him the same foods over and over. I go to the grocery store and look up and down the aisles trying to find new ideas. Hoping for suggestions from other parents. He likes his hot dogs and P,B & J, cheese, turkey slices. Any suggestions would help and what your toddlers like and will eat.

A great web site is linked below. There are hints to give your child healthy foods. click on my pyramid plan, fill out his information, and a personalized food guide pyramid will come up, be sure to click on the tips beside the food groups

Here are some of my suggestions ( I have a 2 1/2 year old that eats like a bird too, and likes the same thing every time)

Ants on a Log --celery sticks filled iwth peanut butter and topped with raisins. (watch out for choking hazzards)

Bunny Food -- combine grated carrots with raisins and a bit of honey and serve on crackers. (no hunny if your child is under 2)

Fancy Sandwiches -- cut bread into shapes with cookie cutters and spread with favorite topping (lunch meat, tuna, cheese, peanut butter, egg salad, ground bologna)

Orange Delight --Mix in blender 1/3 cup orange juice concentrate, 1/4 cup powdered milk, 1/2 bananna or other fruit, 3/4 cup water, honey to tast, ice. (the more ice you add the slushier the drink becomes.)

Party Mix -- Mix 2 cups dry cereal and 1 cup small pretzel sticks. Plalce on cookie sheet, sprinkle with parmesan cheese and 1/3 cup melted margarine. Bake at 250 degrees for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Roll-Up Salad -- Spread a cabbage or lettuce leaf with peanut butter, tuna salad, sandwich spread, anything your child will eat, you can place celery or carrot stick in the center and roll up the leaf.

I hope some of these ideas help

i actually think of you could attempt extra issues. toddlers study from us, and your baby could have the means to tolerate ingredients which you would be able to. Like me as quickly as I prepare dinner the beef i do no longer season my son's piece as an occasion. that is all approximately stability however the way nutrition selections are, you won't be able to easily no longer block each little thing, you understand what I mean? i'm not sure what you consume, yet favourite rice, beans have a impressive style of protein, rather lots something only watch the seasoning, extra salt, decrease each little thing up real small. as long as you're ingesting healthful favourite issues your son could be superb. i do no longer understand in case you have particular nutrition hypersensitive reactions on your loved ones or no longer, yet till you do your son could be superb. each baby is a individual and we gained't limit and overprotect too lots or it is going to become undesirable. You sound like a solid mom...have faith your self a splash extra!! If he has a milk hypersensitivity there are soy selections. attempt issues out...

At this age, all my kids were eating what we ate. I just made it fun for them. Chicken is great, no skins though. They can use their fingers. Also any veges that they can pick up or dip in a sauce(for flavor) works well. Also have him use a fork at meals. Kids seems to eat anything if they are having fun while doing it. Just watch his sugar intake. Kids do not needed added sugar in their diet.

He's old enough to eat what the family eats. Just make sure you give him a variety of fruits and vegetables, and avoid a lot of processed foods (chicken nuggets, hot dogs, etc. ) When my kids were that age, they loved spaghetti, yogurt, chicken, corn-on-the-cob, watermelon, scrambled eggs, hamburgers, etc. Good luck.

give him chicken noodle soup, spaghetti with sauce, anything you eat you should give him so his pallet develops well. even if he doesn't want to make him try it and go from there. but don't stop feeding him regular grown up food for lunch feeding him what he likes.

Unless he has allergies, he can eat whatever you eat.
