bailiffs! How do i stop them picking on me?

Question

I paid off my Capital one credit card late!! So yes i went into debt and had bailiffs collecting. I paid it all off.
A year later a new debt collector contacted me and as i had lost the last ones letters i paid it again.
Now a year on i have been contacted AGAIN!!!
I have all the paperwork so proving that i have paid it.
My question is Why are they picking on me?
Am i on a list somewhere
How do i stop it!!!

Bailiffs? If you mean debt collectors, they have no right to contact you after you've paid off your debt. Check that the issue has been resolved on your credit report and send the collector a "drop dead letter"
