I am, have always been, and always will be Proud to be an American.
I support our President in general. He was elected by the American people.
Does this mean I agree with every decision he has ever made? No, I do not. But I respect his position.

I personally am extremely proud to be an American. I joined the Marines at age 17 and fought in two wars for this country of ours, and I would do it again and again if I could. This country of ours is a wonderful place to live and to raise a family, and everyone that is lucky enough to be called an American should be proud to be one. Also being an American means you don't have to agree with our Commander In Chief, but you should support his decisions and stand by our nation's military, because they stand by you. If you think someone else can do a better job leading our country, then it is your right, and your duty to vote for that person, and help ensure that our country is lead by the finest candidate. Your right to vote goes hand in hand with being an American, and you should be proud.

Im with the girl on top. I am proud to be an American. Best country in the world bar none.
i support Bush too. I dont always agree with him, but why would I want the President of the US to fail, I live in the US, so I support him.
About the war-it is still an iffy issue. The Pentagon falsified documents, but Saddam did clearly indicate that he had WMDs by parading a couple of them and not working with the UN at all. So, I dontn think going into Iraq was completely wrong.

I'm thankful to be born an American, and I'm proud of my country. But I'm certainly not proud of the other people I share it with!
How can I claim pride in a nation where a President can lie his way into a corrupt war? How can I be proud of a nation where our soldiers rape 14 year old children and kill innocent families? How can I be proud of a nation where homosexuality is embraced? How can I be proud of a nation where so many children are uneducated and uncaring for the future? Where drugs and crimes abound? A nation where so much depression and hate lurks just beyond every corner? Where people value money above everything else, even their own lives?
I am proud to be an American, in that I am proud to have the rights that I have and that I respect this nation enough not to abuse those rights. I am proud to be the wife of an American soldier. I am proud to be able to give my children more freedom than they would otherwise have. But I am not proud of Americans, and the way they act and talk and live.
I am proud of America as a nation, with her great and marvelous constitution, beauitful flag and wonderful national anthem, but I am not proud of many of the people who share this amazing country with me. I love the beautiful land in which I live, but I wish that it wasn't daily defiled by the people who don't respect or revere it as I do.

i am VERY proud to be an American and am also thinking about going into the Air Force. we live in a wonderful country. as for bush's decisions...he's the president and i think this country would be even better if the people would respect the president's decisions. i'm not saying we shouldn't vote and voice our opinions but we should stand behind the man. my opinion.

I am very proud to be an American.
I do not agree with the majority of Bush's decisions. I think he panders to the right wing Christian ultra-conservatives. We need a more moderate President with strong leadership skills.

For the most part, yes. But I am also bothered by the ignorance and arrogance of many of my fellow citizens. Too many Americans look down on other cultures thinking the we are the best. There is too often a lack of respect for others. I have been lucky enough to have a mother from Europe so I have a more worldly view than many. I follow events in other countries b/c of family/friends overseas.
As for our gov't, well I think we need a major change and soon. We need someone in the White House who is credible, speaks well, does not have a checkered past and can rally the peple of this nation. We are in need of someone with charisma and substance.

I bet even many Nazi's were proud to be German.
Not really, no. I'm not proud. I feel lucky, but not really proud.
Pride comes from personal accomplishment, and I didn't really do anything to be an American, I was just born here.
These days I'm a bit ashamed to be paying taxes to support a war I disagree with, and I ask myself, "At what point do I have an ethical obligation to withhold funding for these murderous politicians?"

You Better Believe that I am.... !!!!!
I along with one or more of my forfathers have been in every war and conflict that I know about since the War of Northern Aggression..
I am darn proud of my country, we have come farther faster than any nation on earth.. This country has been blessed, and if the blood of patriots does not count for something, then those that spit on our country need to leave...
good luck
