We don't live in the same town, and I have a busy job. Visitation is 3 weekends per month and 4 weeks in the summer. She is now five years old. I'd really like to discover something we can do together that would be long lasting and good for her.

never miss a chance to see her, call her every night just to say "sweet dreams", ask questions and then LISTEN to her, get a web cam so she can see you, keep in touch with her school so she knows that you are interested in what is happening with her as she gets older, plan to drive a lot for plays, recitals, games, etc. Keep a healthy and open line of communication with her mom. Don't let your job interfere with oyur relationship

It is not so much what u can do with her, but what u can do for her that will have a long lasting affect on her. The best thing u can give your daughter is a father she can look up to, and be proud of, and respect. Have an open relationship with her as she gets older, so she knows she can come to u with any problem and u will be there for her, without judgement, and she can always rely on u. You can create special memories with her by doing something simple, but on a regular basis........such as every Saturday just the two of u going to the zoo, or to a movie, or even something simple like going for ice-cream. If u do it every weekend, when she is older she will always remember that as a big part of her life, even though it was a simple gesture. Since u don't see her everyday, just make sure the time u do spend with her is "quality" time and u will have a bond that will last a lifetime.
