My observations are that the most common injuries are sports-related.
After that I would list slips/trips/falls as the next most common.
The most common combat related injury is hearing.

I've seen a lot of broken bones during training. Combat injuries are mostly inflicted by the enemy, some accidental. Ours were predominatly caused by IEDs

When I went through boot camp the number one injury was stress fractures. The leadership is very aware of the dangers of dehydration and ensures that the recruits stay properly hydrated. I watched a lot of people get dropped for stress fractures to their bones, mainly tibia and metatarsals.

Is Athlete's Foot an injury? Lol, j/k
Lots of people around here in AIT are on crutches and using canes. Lots are shammers, but many have bone injuries. In Basic my husband developed a problem that I can't pronounce. It's where his hips click when he walks. He's getting medboarded for it.
Lots of people have fractures and things like that...
