>>Would a true religion be threatened by science?<<
Not at all. This is one of the reasons I believe Catholicism is the One True Faith. The Catholic Church has always been a patron of science, and many of Western civilization's greatest scientists have been not just Catholic, but Catholic priests. How many non-Catholic clerics have advanced degrees in science as do many Catholic priests today?

Both science and religion should be based more on evidence and less on theory. One thing science and religion both seem to ignore is ample biblical and historical evidence which makes it "evident" that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God.
There's lots of evidence proving law to be faulty, imperfect, corruptible, etc; Yet both science and religion deem law to be necessary; which is as if to say evil is necessary. Not!
There's also lots of evidence that love often fails, such as divorces, parents forsaking children, children forsaking parents, etc; Yet ppl say love never fails. What the Bible says is charity never fails, and notably because charity thinketh no evil(law).
Truth is always open to and welcomes scrutiny; For how else could it be known to be the truth unless it is scrutiniiized.
It's time both science and religion learned the truth:
Grace is sufficient means no law at all is required.
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

The wisdom of Science comes from God so why should religion be threatened by it? For as long as Science respects the dignity of persons and the moral law I don't see any problem.
Peace and every blessing!

i agree. but history firmly teaches that religion is wrong when it comes to some scientific research. Explain Galilaeo?
but then again, if satanism and athiesm cotnrol the the government and the scientific peer reveiw, there can be nothing in science that would prove Evolution, if science would not reject God.
fairy tales do exist, but no one truly knows which are MYTHOS in religion and which are Fraudulent in science and evolution.
for example if the scientific method were to be prove in the existence of God all one would have to do is categorize every single testimony of the Proven witnesses of God. For in the last 40 years alone millions of people have had after life experiences and proclaim they see jesus. the fact that Jesus exists is enough scientifically through testimony and experience to PROVE there is a God.
I alone saw an angel appear in my bedroom and then i saw jesus in an out of body type experience and the glory of Jesus overwhelmed everything. My words should be considered as scientific proof as well.

Religion isn't exactly fairy tales and science is exactly reality. While no true religion could possiblt be threatened by scientific inquiry, there are always those who are unwilling to look at this or that because they feel it threatens their faith.

No...and a true religion would be mature enough to admit that not every word of their sacred texts is intended to be taken literally.

I am not into religions. I think science is good. I still believe in the Bible record over anything else.
