Chewing parsely is supposed to be good for clearing garlic breath. I've never tried it myself.
Here's a site with some info.

1. chew on a sprig of parsley
2. chew on a sprig of fresh mint or basil (anything with a high chlorophyll content)
3. drink a large glass of hot mint tea
4. chew a piece of gum or citrus peel or something else that will cause an increase of saliva in the mouth to dilute the garlic smelling bacteria
5. Ask anyone if they have some altoids and chew on them
6. put toothpaste directly on your tongue and scrape it with toothbrush
