leanne it seriously affects your body's electrolyte balance which can impair organ function. It leads to water imbalances which put a huge stress on your kidneys.
If you're doing it to lose weight then stop as it doesn't work. The only thing that comes out is already processed food. The food that you have just eaten is still processed in the usual way. All laxatives do is make you feel ill.

Not only does this only cause you to lose water (which you need to survive btw) the laxatives can actually eventually cause you to develop constipation as a result. This is something that happens to people who use laxatives too often for whatever reason be it an eating disorder, some kind of compulsive behavior or dieting attempts. Your system is designed to clean itself out under its own power. If you are healthy it does not need laxatives to accomplish this. Eating healthily, excercise and drinking your daily requirment of water will work together to flush your system all that it needs. All of these things will also help you lose weight and feel better day to day.

YES of course it does. Bad damage. Dont do it. Go on a diet, excerise. It just aint worth losing weight in such an unhealthy way, you will only put it on again. Trust me. I had a friend who took those things to get thinner, she was hospitialized within 5 weeks. It aint worth it. You dont know what health is until you lose it. So dont even go there. x

YES
Never abuse laxatives.
You will lose the ability to have normal bowel actions with prolonged use. Then you will end up needing more laxatives or possibly end up with a colostomy.

Yes, it can, in very serious situations, cause you to have a heart attack, and if you keep doing it eventually you may have to have a colostomy bag. They can also cause hair loss and will wreck your skin.

You wil not lose weight, but you will lose water, as soon as you eat/drink again you will put it back on, and some, because your body will not know whats going on.
