This guy smokes as much as he can before he boards the bus and then sits by people. Smokers breath is just awful. I wish smokers would carry mints with them.

Being an ex-smoker (3yrs) i never realized how bad my breath and clothes smelled until I recovered by sense of smell and taste (smoking diminishes those). Now when I smell that smoke smell coming from or on someone I want to gag. What's worse is when it lingers in places like elevators long after they are gone.

They don't realize that it is that strong. They can't smell the smoke on themselves or their breath. I quit smoking about a year ago, and man smokers breath is bad now! Before I quit I never noticed it. I had a facial ruined a few months ago because the lady went out to smoke while she had some lotion or something setting. Then she came back and reeked of cigarettes, just totally busted my relaxation. All I could do was focus on holding my breath so I didn't have to smell it. : (

A lot of smokers do carry gum or mints with then as well as perfume. I would ask the guy if he wants a piece a gum next time he comes around. I know its an aweful smell and people that dont smoke smell it more and longer than those who do.

Most of us do (at least, me and everybody else I know do). And I always carry mints. But clothes smell worse (I smoke outside so that it minimizes the smell) - even I can't stand it!

I smoke but lightly so I like to think my breath doesn't stink. No I don't think people who smoke realize their breath smells like an ashtray because they usually come from a smoke filled environment and are immune to their wet ashtray smelling breath.

No they don't until they quit. My husband quit smoking 6 months ago and now complains about other people smoking around them and their breath.

Not only does their breath smells bad, their body and clothes reek of the stench.

No and they don't realize how their whole body smells. My husband used to smoke and now when we smell someone who smokes, he swears he never smelled that way but he did.
