im trying to get more people to answer this. but this time instead of YELLING at me that I should read the bible and understand it. I declare that i have. in the marriage of canan, MY eyes were "seemingly OPENED" and i understood that Jesus was the bridegroom. However Ogden Kraut claimed that Psalms 45 was altered through history, where it once said that there was a "woman" who is married. it was changed. This woman was clothed in white and Gold and was a princess who was Equal to the marriage of the SON of God.
and the first commandment of God was a Jewish written commandment, I read it in the Taryag Mitvahs. Marriage preceded NOT eating the forbidden fruit and though it is not one of the ten commandments or the greatest law as told by jesus to Love God, it is the first one of All the 613 commandments in jewish tradition.
then it comes to pass that jesus said john suffer it to be so to "fulfill the righteousness of God".

Jesus was actually married three times. In order to be a Rabbi, and teach at the synagogue, it is required that he have been married, so get past that problem. His first wife was named Cypros, a Nabateen Arab and daughter of Cypros and Alexas. Together they had five children, Three boys Adminius, Guierious, and Caradoc, and two girls, Eigan and Gladys. His first wife's name is not mentioned in the bible, so don't go crazy looking for it...
His second wife was named Mary Magdalene, as unfortunate as it sounds there is some historical evidence to suggest that she may have been one of Jesus sister's. I can hear the collective jaws dropping of all the Christians, so get over it, this is what history, says, not my personal viewpoint. History does not record if they had children..
Jesus third wife was Aricia (Areddig), which is recorded in the Tactitus records as Cartismandus. There is no record of them having children either.

For most Christians he wasn't married. For a few, he was. I know that people will say "read the Bible", but reading and stuyding the Bible alone is not the answer. You must study the history and customs of the people of those times.

About what happened in Canaan, I see your point. It is true that the Bible do not openly say that Jesus was married. But in those days, a man couldn't be considered a profet or a teacher if he wasn't married.

In those times, weddings were the responsibility of the parents of the groom, not of the parents of the bride. The question is: If Jesus wasn't the one getting married, Why had Mary come to tell him that the wine was gone? After all, he was only a guest.

It is pressumed that by that time Joseph was dead, for there's no further reference regarding him in the Bible, after Jesus was about age 12 or so. (There were some ancient manuscripts found and translated covering that period from age 12 and beyond age 33 but I won't get into that).

Since Joseph was pressumably dead, Jesus became the head of the house. The logical explaination about Mary's announcement about the lack of wine to Jesus, strongly suggests that was because Jesus was the groom.

Of course, to find out the truth, you have to put aside your beliefs and preconceived ideas, or else you will deem as false teaching that which was practiced by Jesus followers.

There is no way for us to know this. The only information we have about Jesus is the Christian Bible, which was written down long after the time of Jesus.

One thing we can know, if the guy was 30 years old and not married, the folks at that time in Israel would have thought .. something must be wrong with the guy.

Yes he was and is married to the congregation of God in a spiritual way. This congregation is referred to as “the congregation of the firstborn who have been enrolled in the heavens,” the full number of which, under Christ the head, is 144,000. (Heb 12:23; Re 7:4) These called-out ones are “bought from among mankind” to carry out a special work here on earth and then to be with Christ in heaven as his bride. That is why Paul could say :“Husbands, continue loving your wives, just as the Christ also loved the congregation and delivered up himself for it,” (Ephesians 5:25)
Psalm 45:1-15 shows that in her preparation for the marriage the bride was to show proper consideration not only for the bridegroom but also for the bridegroom’s father. Revelation 21:1-5 pictures Christ the bridegroom and his spiritual bride coming down from heaven from God to confer the blessings of Jehovah on all creatures worthy of life. gemhandy@hotmail.com

Jesus was not married....Jesus was not the bridegroom in the marriage of Cana....he was a guest....if he was married, the scriptures would have said it..

psalms 45 - i am looking at the original jewish version... the king is the Messiah..... the bride is Israel.....if you look all through scriptures, God is "married" to Israel....so when israel sins in idolatry, she becomes guilty of adultery..... the "marriage" occured on Mt Siani when God formed a covenant with the people of israel.

see isaiah 54: 4-6
Hosea 2:16, 19-20
Ezechiel 16:8-14
see revelation chpter 12...Israel wife gives birth to messiah and attacked by dragon

This is an excelllent question and it sounds like you are searching for answers, however, why havent you gone to a christian pastor or Priest?

Maybe you have. anyways are you talking about the wedding feast at Canaa In John 2? if so 2:2 states jesus and his disciples were ALSO invited to the celebration. Therefore it was someone elses wedding.

jesus did allude to himself as a bridegroom when questioned about fasting , but he often spoke in parables and in directly when refering to himself to give a hidden message that the disciples would pick up later. its quite possible some disciples might have been asking, is jesus getting married. at the crucifiction "behold I make all things new" , they recognized him in the breaking of the bread after his ressurrection. his teachings had a delayed effect as is true still today with those of us trying to find him.

Jesus was never joined in matrimony.

The term marriage has a much broader definition than the one typically used.

Marriage (particularly in classical languages) refers to the joining of two people, places, or things (including organizations) into one. For example the merging of two corporations is a marriage of two corporations. The two corporations will usually continue to produce different items or services or a different version of the same service but they become one united corporation instead of two seperate corporations.

Another example of the use of the term marriage is when two pieces of wood are glued together that there is a marriage of the
two peices.

However, the reference in Psalm 45 is sung to a King (probably David) in regards to his wedding.

Psalms are much like Hymns or modern worship songs. Some are aimed directly at God as a form of prayer, others speak of God but not directly too him, and still others refer to subjects and occurrences related to faith and Christianity.

There is no evidence to prove that He was. So no i don't think so. Those of you quoting Revelation, John is talking bout Jesus' bride being the Chrurch and/or Jerusalem. It is a metaphor/ an allegory to show the bride was made pure for the bridegroom, Jesus. Spiritually nothing to do with Jesus' physical incarnation.

of course jesus was married. he told John the baptist suffere him to be baptized to fulfill all righteousness.
considering the question found in the book by Ogden Kraut, jesus was married, and the book Taryag Mitzva, the first commandment was Marriage not be fruitful and multiply, nor was it do not eat the forbidden fruit. the Lord gave Eve to Adam and she was His "wife".

I think most people know the answer to this question and are being led to believe what others are saying. As far as the Bible is concerned, it never says Jesus was married. So for me, that means I can't say Jesus was married. I could try to read into it and try to decipher it but why not just believe what it says? (I call it getting "hung up" on non-meaningful details). It seems God is pretty clear about things He wants us to know!

So, if Jesus were married, would it matter?? Obviously, the most important thing is that Jesus came from Heaven to live on this earth as a human, died for our sins, and was risen to overcome death and sin. All who believe in Him as their Lord and Savior will be given the gift of life! BEAUTIFUL!!

Be blessed!
