As long as you die under normal circumstances like old age, and nothing fishy was going on, you don't HAVE to get an autopsy.
Make your wishes known by putting it all in writing and getting it notarized. There are lots of legal documents that you can do yourself or have an attorney do for you.
I think you might want to also take into account that the embalming process isn't any better than an autopsy in terms of being very invasive, so you might want to consider the no embalming thing as well. But of course without embalming you have to be buried or cremated RIGHT away.
Hopefully it will be a long, long time before any of your loved ones have to worry about carrying out your final wishes.

I think most autopsies happen when someone dies for an unknown reason...like if they just all of a sudden die. If you stay healthy, and live a long life and die of old age, you probably won't have one. On the other hand, if you are doing something crazy like overdosing on drugs you might get one. You could just tell your relatives to make sure you don't have one. Put it in your will or something, to ensure that you won't get an autopsy.

You can stipulate in your Will or in your Health Care Proxy that you do not wish to have an autopsy. Some people refuse to be autopsied for religious reason. On the other hand, should you die under mysterious reasons, or there is evidence that you have been murdered, I believe that the State has the right to perform
an autopsy.

Tell your next of kin. Then hope he abides by your wishes. Unless you are murdered or die an unusual death, the chances of anyone wanting an autopsy is remote.

Everyone must have an Autopsy to figure out how the person died. If you don't want one find a religion that is against Autopsies and join them.

Let your family know and better yet, make out a will and put it in that.Truthfully though, it depends on how you die.God forbid, but if you was murdered, and they didnt know how . They would HAVE to do one.Regaurdless of what you wanted.I know what you mean though. I am a baptist, but I use to feel the same way you do.I came in this world in one piece, I would like to leave it the same way I came in it.

Have your lawyer put it in your official will. They will have to respect this.
