Shampoo manufacturers misinform & lead you to think you have it. Look it up and see if you really have. Problem could be just a very dry flaking scalp, sensitive to chemicals, harmful ingredients in many commercial shampoos & other products. USING ANTI DANDRUFF SHAMPOOS is simply going to make it worse.( do a Google search "Shampoos cause dandruff?")This REALLY WORKS and has been voted Best Answer by Asker(See profile). It's a simple, NATURAL, safe, low cost, permanent cure that helped me and many others. Use only a mild tea tree oil shampoo or neutral selenium based shampoo - acts as an anti-fungal agent - with a few drops of tea tree oil added and wash less frequently. Shampoo companies love you to believe frequent washing is desirable but de-natures hair and scalp, causes thinning, even premature graying. To restore scalp & hair to health, frequently brush 25 to 35 strokes each day, quite vigorously, so you feel it stimulating scalp - will unplug hair shaft ducts, end flaking, reverse other damage & force new, well anchored growth. Massage scalp and hair with flaxseed oil or vitamin E oils, before or after brushing, or nightly, and wash off in the morning. Will revitalize & give hair a healthy sheen. Also hair dryers, perms, tints, bleaches, straighteners, tanning booths or sunlamps harm scalp and hair. Entire body health, particularly digestive system matters. Be careful of excessive intake of fats, dairy products, sugars, chocolate, seafood, and peanuts. Consider a whole foods diet. Increase green leafy vegetables and raw foods. Vitamins help. Biotin, a B vitamin, in particular. Found in brewer's yeast, nutritional yeast, whole grains, nuts. Lastly, often overlooked, get plenty of sun - a natural source of vitamin.

oh well i'm more probably asking on this one.
What if dandruff shampoos dont work?
Is it not dandruff.. or do i need a different brand. I have tried more than i could be bothered trying anymore when its just wasting my money. I want something that works, i'm gonna start looking at natural crap soon ahhhhh
i have tried head n shoulders... and whatever the white slim bottle with green writing is, i've tried big brands of shampoo that have anti dandruff but if the work it doesnt last.
So maybe its not about what i use to wash my hair... but something else.... unbalancing and causing a dandruff... ahahahaha damn i am tired

Dandruff is brought on by various things. You should see a dermatologist. However, Washing your hair thoroughly and using conditioner is part of it. Blow dry your hair, it will hlp alleviate some of the problem and dislodge loose pieces. I also use a beaten egg twice a week and it helps pull out a large portion of debris as well as bond with the hair for a protien boost.

It really helps to use Head and Shoulders. It's much better than copies such as Selson Blue. Or, ask your hairdresser the next time you go in for a cut.

You can also try Neutrogena T-Sal therapeutic shampoo, dermatologists recommend it alot and you can buy it at the drugstore. You can read about it on the internet.

Head and Shoulders, and leave it on your head for at least 20 minutes.

NIZORAL, sold in most stores, helps me, but if I don't get my sleep, NOTHING helps.
