Lucky you! It is near Omaha, NE. It is a very nice area. Low crime, great schools and a nice place to bring up a family. Go on-line or library and look at Omaha. It is a great city with plenty to see and do.

I was there for three years back in the 90's. It wasn't bad. They have all the modern stores and a mall right down the street from the base. There is an awesome zoo in Omaha only a few miles from the base. As for the schools, not so sure about them. My son was not old enough to go to school when I lived there. Council Bluffs, Iowa is just a few miles away and Iowa schools are awesome so you might look into that. Make sure and stay away from the North side of Omaha. Years ago it was a haven for gangs but don't know how it is today.
