What is it called when we can "relax" our abstinence on Sundays during Lent? I know that it's 47 days from Ash Wednesday until Easter Sunday which means that the 7 Sundays are "relaxations of lent" making lent an even 40 days, but what is "relaxation Sunday" called?

To the best of my knowledge, the 'relaxation' Sundays are not give a special 'relaxation' name.

This year the six Sundays in Lent are called:
+ February 25 is called the First Sunday of Lent.
+ March 4 is called the Second Sunday of Lent.
+ March 11 is called the Third Sunday of Lent.
+ March 18 is called the Fourth Sunday of Lent.
+ March 25 is called the Fifth Sunday of Lent.
+ April 1 is called the Palm or Passion Sunday.

With love in Christ.

diverse Christians have diverse ideals. the unique Church earlier it grew to become prepared faith (time-commemorated as "followers of how" somewhat than Christian) accompanied basically one particular ritual and that's "Communion" the ingesting wine as Jesus' blood and ingesting the bread it rather is his physique. that's the only that Jesus asked they do to recollect him. each little thing else became created later for various motives. a impressive style of followers of how accompanied Jewish ingesting customs while you evaluate that became how they have been raised yet many did no longer because it became now no longer recognized as needed with the intention to be closer to God. So an instantaneous answer on your question.... confident, and no. It relies upon on the Christian you ask and what denomination they are an element of.
