As a Mormon I would say all people are basically good, especially at birth - you can see the light of an innocent spirit in babies' eyes. Also, there is something called the light of Christ which is like your conscience, which we believe everyone has been given. We also believe that no one has ever been born in this earth who did not believe in Jesus Christ prior to their mortal birth, which is related to a doctrine we have about the premortal life. Life's experiences often seem to disguise that fact, but still there is more good in people than bad. Here is a quote that our prophet and president, Gordon B. Hinckley, said in 1998: "I feel tremendously optimistic about the future. We are in a world of all kinds of problems, as we all know. We see it on all sides—gangs, families gone, children killing children, single mothers, illegitimate births, drugs, the whole thing, with all of that I believe there is a great residual of goodness in people. I believe that there are millions who are prayerful, faithful, strong people who are doing their best to rear their families in truth and righteousness, to live as citizens with honesty and integrity and to make a contribution of their lives."

Well we believe the light of Christ is given to everybody to guide them to do what's right, at the same time we recognize humans have a carnal side that isn't so inclined to do good.
But to begin with I think children and humans have that light that makes them basically good, and I think most stick with that light as best they can. While indulging in our carnal side may seem more fun, I still think following that light inside us just feels more natural.

No, they're no longer some thing alike. both originated round an similar time, and both are "restorationist" church homes that declare to be the genuine restored church of God after Christianity went off target over the centuries. yet their beliefs are completely diverse. both one among them do pass door to door. With Mormons, they deliver childrens on 2-year lengthy missions international to evangelise. Jehovah's Witnesses in simple terms pontificate of their community parts and fantastically a lot do it for his or her entire life. yet yeah, except the very effortless beliefs of Christianity (the Bible, and the start, death and resurrection of Jesus), they do no longer have an excellent purchase of beliefs and doctrines in common.

They lean toward the basically good side. We will be judged for our own sins, not Adam's transgressions. Therefore there is no "original sin". Adam fell that man might be. Man is that he might have joy.

Sorry, the above person is wrong, when i became a christian, my parents told me I was going to he##. The missionaries from the church came everytime they rotated them out and tried to get me to go back to church. Anyways, I was taught that everyone is going to burn unless we bring them into the light. We cannot socialize with them, unless it is to bring them into the light, if they do not convert, we do not talk tot them anymore. Since satan is after us, they are after us as well.
