when the person lacks serritonin in the gut, they will lack the proper communication in the brain. the serritonin in the gut is a different form of serritonin in the brain, but is responsible for regulation of the brains chemistry.
this is often misdiangosed as add or adhd.
my son has ibs. he is regulated by a powder he puts in his morning juice and his emotional state has been evened out.

look up ibs and the serretonin connection.

I have a daughter who has bowel trouble and hearing loss. She's been at the same school for a few years now and I still have to explain it to the same people often. When I tell them it's as if they are hearing it for the first time even though I've explained it to them until I'm blue in the face. I'll get letters that say ... Your daughter Vivian was kept in from recess today because she spent excessive time in the restroom.... or ... Your daughter Vivian missed recess today because she didn't put her notebook away when the class was told to do so. My daughter comes home often crying and not understanding why she had to miss her free fun time. I've finally had enough and told the teachers that Vivian is not to be punished at ALL unless I'm notified first and agree to it. I've spoken to the Principal and still haven't seen much improvement. She's not missing recess anymore but the teachers are treating her differently. She now comes home crying because she doesn't feel liked by the students or the teachers. The teachers act as if Vivian just doesn't listen even though she has a hearing impairment. Or that she should be in and out of the restroom in 2 minutes when it takes her several minutes when she has a bowel movement. I'm truly considering taking her out of public school. I feel that many teachers don't take the time or don't have the time to devote to our children that have special needs. It's the sad truth. I hope you have better luck!

Just look up hirschsprung disease on your search engine, print it out, and take it to the appropo people at your child's school. That will be all the explanation they need.

Good luck!
