They are prohibited from being carried onto the plane in carry-on luggage. The hooks are considered to be capable of being used as weapons.

Put them in your checked baggage and there is no problem.

If it is sharp, you cannot have it in the cabin of a plane. Fingernail clippers, screwdrivers, nail files, etc. Seriously... just avoid the confrontation and put it in your check-in baggage. Airline security will only make you feel bad by asking if you plan on doing any fishing at 10000 feet :D

Yeah im thinking that they are. But you could always just call and ask...dont just show up with it...that would be bad!

yeah i am thinking they are no no's for taking onto the plane but you are probably aloyud to check them in

im almost positive they are. but to be sure call the airlines and ask customer reps. they can tell u definitely

Anything sharp will be confiscated,so i'd wrap them up and put them in your suitcase.
