Is there someway of finding out if she is likely to say yes first?
I've been asked out by guys to my face a few times and i absolutely hate it when i have given them no indication i like them and they ask me out??!! whats that all about!
It's embarrassing and i always feel i have to lie and say i'm seeing someone because i don't want to hurt their feelings and say "well actually you're a munter!!"
Sorry to be blunt but why should we lie and be embarrassed just because some loser thinks they actually have a chance.
Not saying you're a loser because i'm sure you're not...just touched a nerve there.
Get a friend to do some investigating...then you get to save face if she isn't interested.

Just ask her out. tell her how you feel and the worst she could do is turn you down, but at least then you tried and your not wondering what could have been if did ask. If she likes you then she'll say yes. Don't use any corny pick up lines either. most girls don't really like that. Good luck

Keep it short and simple...'How about it then?'
This line actually worked for a friend of mine on holiday. He had been eyeing up a girl in the bar all night and then just popped this question and left the bar and committted the deed in the field behind the bar.
Ok, so this story is hardly the most subtle approach and I am only joking about using that line. But its all about having the courage and assertiveness to be straight with the girl, she will respect you for this. So just be yourself and ask her whether she would like to do something one evening. Good luck!

don't use any corny lines. Just be natural. Just say: "so...do you wanna go catch a movie or something?" And smile.

Just ask her out to something small like ice cream or coffee. If she has a good time with you, then ask her out on a more casual date, like movies or dinner.Make sure you get her phone number.

do you fancy going for a drink later?
i think you should, if you can talk to her then she can talk to you, swallow your gut and just go for it.
or get a group a folk and set up a night out, just make sure your the one who asks her if she wants to come, i just hope your over 18, if not get your group to the cinema, or better ice skating

i think the first move is to befriend her first. you said that she is really nice and easy to talk to so befriending her first would make a good impression. when you feel that she is getting comfortable with you maybe that is the time you could ask her out on a date...
