A spirit and mind and body.
Three.
Explanation--unable.
How do I know?
1 Th 5:23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
There are three mentioned here.

The mind comes from the spirit. The spirit is housed by the body until the day we die. So, yes, the spirit is (or should be) in charge of the body. However, many people are unable to control the physical desires of their bodies so it is really hard to say which is in charge, the spirit or the body.

A body with The Spirit guiding my soul and mind to be what God wants me to be...

I used to be only a body with mind and soul.... upon accepting Christ as my savior, the Holy Spirit entered into play and life got way better with help on decisions that affect not only me but people around me!

We are all spiritual beings experiencing the confinement and limitations of a physical body, that is run by the mind, the brain is like a motor it directs the body movement, it comes with a full set of options that allow us to think and reason, it's really not much different than a computer.

I consider myself a synergetic being. The body and the mind don't have separations as distinct as what you apply. We are greater then that. Intelect, or what you would call spirit, and the physical are NOT independant of one another. If either is removed, the nature of both would change. You'd have two new, separate, entities.

A body with a brain. Everything about a person's character is provably a function of the physical brain, so there's simply no reason to believe in a 'spirit'.

There are no spirits or souls. We are bodies with brains. The mind is a process that runs on the mechanism of the brain.
