Assuming there is a god, which I doubt, doesn't that mean that the vast majority of religious people are praying to the wrong god? Everyone can't possibly be right about who god is.

Everybody is worshipping God, the creator.... The difference among people that some of them think that He is the sun, the fire, a man, Jesus, or whatever....

As God is not 'someone or something', other people worship him without having a materialistic model for him... e.g. Muslims...

This difference in picturising God, doesn't mean that He doesn't exist.... In fact there's no doubt that He exists...

Please read my words carefully:
If you see footmark in the sand, you'll say that someone passed from here...
If you see a piece of dog sh*t on the ground, you'll say that a dog passed from here...
So what about the enormous universe, the sky, stars, planets, earth and all the beauty in it, doesn't it lead to that someone made it?!!!

Some people say that everything is created by itself after the big-bang... I won't ask you about what caused the big-bang, but I'll ask you a simple question:
If you take all the letters of the alphabet, multiples of them, and you threw them randomly on the floor. Do you expect (by a chance of one in infinity) to get a poem like shakespear's??!!

Can't you see how organized our universe is, the planets, the eco-system on earth, look even in your own body... Can you control your heart-beat? Can you control your breath while you're sleeping? Who stopped your eye-lashes from growing after reaching a certain length? Who told the baby turtles to move towards the sea and not to the earth after they come out of their eggs? Who taught the bird how to make nests?

My friend, think with your heart and brain. If you're still lost, think about the following:

Do you know how to play safe?
Non-believer's case:
If there's no God and you do all what you want in life, then nothing will happen to you after life. But if there was God and you were mistaken, then you'll blame yourself FOREVER...

Believer's case:
If there's God and I followed His commands in life, then I'll be in Heaven after life FOREVER. But if there was no God and we're mistaken, then nothing bad will happen to us after life...

Now you know how to play-safe, in case you're not convinced?

Yes, only one religion can be correct. You see, from the beginning of Man God has instituted His religion among men. However, we don't always follow, so we warp and change our religions to fit our own limited perceptions. So, periodically, when God thinks us ready to receive truth again he sends a prophet to declare truth again.

From the beginning of time true followers of the one true religion looked forward to a Messiah. The one that could save men from their sins and lead them to eternal life. Jesus Christ is that messiah and he showed us the way. It was He who said the path to eternal life was a narrow path and few people would find it.

This does not mean that all other people are lost. God loves us all, no matter what our religion. So, He has included in His plan a method for ALL people to hear the true Gospel and then truly decide for themselves. For some it will happen in this life. For most it will occur in the next. But those who have the chance in this life should take it because it will be far more difficult in the next.

I don't think that's necessarily true. We impose beliefs about who/what God is because we probably can't really understand what God really is. If God exists, he/she/it is likely too vast for us to understand.

An example of this is in Hinduism. Many Westerners believe Hinduism is polytheistic (many gods). This is actually not true. Hinduism is a monotheistic religion which understands God to be too vast for humans' comprehension. So, they understand God in many different ways (as the "god of fire" or the "god of virtue" etc).

Personally, I think it's laughable that any human being would think to utter words such as "God is..." or "God wouldn't want you to do...". If God is omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, etc... how could any human possibly conceive of understanding that? It's like a... cockroach... explaining to fellow cockroaches about the intricacies of a human being.

Regarding your question directly, all this means to me is that different religions can be right just in understanding God from one viewpoint.

As far as I'm concerned, they are praying to the same God, they just don't see it that way. So many religions created this division of the oneness of God unfortunately.

if you really study the different religions you would find that they have more in common than not.
my most recent studies have been on the tower of Babel and the ten lost tribes of Israel.
the destruction of the tower of Babel sure explains why so many myths have alot in common. such as beginnings - 1st man/1st woman; great flood and the beginning again of mankind; the likeness of Hercules, Samson and Thor, and the list goes on and on.
this is why i don't believe that just ONE FAITH will enter God's Kingdom. i believe that He is the same God in all faiths.

Every one is wrong.God is omni present for all creations including every being.Every religion failed this planet by creating a sense of heavens only for human beings . Realizing the wonders hidden in handful of dust will bring you face to face with GOD and the need for religions will vanish.Love for every being will bring tears of LOVE .LOVE is the only religion of GOD .

Could it be possible that God or the gods aren't all that hung up on us worshipping them the "right" way?
Maybe everyone is right with their own chosen path.

Yes. Fact is: no more than one religion can be correct....however, all can be wrong.
