LaVeyan Satanism

and Theistic Satanism

I see LaVeyan as more of a philosophy, to live by, then as a religion. Is it bad that is appeals to me, I've alwasy had a side interest in the occult?

I'm also doing it as a report for my religion class, she said we could choose any topic.

You are right in some ways. LaVeyan is more of a philosphy, but we have formal and informal ceremonies too which makes it also a religion.

There is nothing wrong with following a path that appeals to you and is your truth so long as you don't go out of your way to harm others who don't deserve it.

LeVeyan Satanism makes a lot of sense and is based on very reasonable and livable concepts.

Theistic Satanism makes as much sense to me as any other monotheistic religion -- which is to say, absolutely none.

There is nothing bad that it appeals to you -- different strokes for different folks! :)

If you've done your research and agree with the philosophy, why not follow it? Isn't this what all humans do? Find a philosophy they agree with and then adopt it as their own?

Nothing wrong with that.

I think it's another valid path for those who adhere to it. I see nothing wrong with you being interested if you agree with their tenets.

Occult simply means that which is hidden, so there's nothing wrong with wanting seek out the mysteries.

May you be blessed in whatever path you choose..
