does anyone in the lost think this is true?
people waste their time, energy, money doing different things for their religion which are useful but not essential. i mean going to ur temple every sunday where u meet ur freinds and relatives and do not involve any intimacy with god, celebrating festivals lavishly forgetting the essence of it, reading and murmuring texts from holy books without knowing their esoteric meaning and doing other rituals u really dont know the base of which.
i mean their is no mystic part to our devotion today. the concept of loving god is limited to very vey few.
do u think , we are more into religion than into god
DONT TELL ME god and religion are one thing, they are not

Oh you are oh so right. Religion and God are not the same. There are many who go to church who do not have a relationship with the Father at all. They know the Bible from a human pespective. And that is all many know. To truly understand the Bible one must ask for his/her eyes to be open to really understand it. Just as Jesus taught in parable. No the Bible is not one big parable but you need help from the Holy Spirit to help you get some of the real meanings. Its just a prayer away. Many today do get caught up in religion. I was one of those years back. I was very religious but found I had no relationship with the Father. I have since changed praise be to God. Church to many is a Sunday tradition. But it is also a good idea to fellowship with other believers. Be they have a relationship with the Father or not once hearing what you have they will want as well and will seek and find it. Peace out..........

The problem I see with your view, is that you are making Christianity look like an obligation rather than a choice.
For instance:
I can either view reading my Bible in two ways.
Choice #1 : I want to grow in my relationship with Christ, and get to know him better by reading his word, and connect with him.
Choice #2 : I guess I HAVE to read my Bible so the people around me don't think I have gone off the deep end. Oh well, I guess it's only a few chapters a day.
If you start treating your relationship with God as an obligation, it will become an obligation. You won't be willing to spend time with him, and your relationship with God will have no purpose.
I would have to agree, most people just take their relationship with God as a "religious ritual", rather than making it truly what it should be.

You are right when you say God and religion are not the same thing. God, in His Word tells us that He hates religion. The Pharisees were the biggest religious leaders in their day and often claimed that the only way into Heaven was to be as righteous as them, which they said was unattainable. Jesus put the kibosh to that in Luke 5:21-26

How would priests and nuns make a living? And how would a government find support for a war if it weren't for the church!?
Christianity is the model McDonalds used to spread their desease! They go to every corner of the globe telling people they have a better, quicker way...sad part is people believed them!
