i have a short video that i want to make a gif from in macromedia flash. the flash part isn't the hard bit - i know how to do that. but i can't find how to breakdown the video into it's constituent frames to insert into flash to make the gif. can you suggest a program to use that will break the video down into the sequence of frames so i can then save each frames.

theres a prog called "ulead video studio" that will let you clip and clip again off your video files give it a try it might be wot your looking for
