if i need to cook them- how??

Drain and rinse them, do not cook them. I use them in salads
too. But Love the Hummus.

Agreed with everyone else here, just just them straight from the can. If you want to buy the dried ones, you just put them in water for a few hours and they will take on the consistency of the canned ones.

just use them straight from the can.
they were cooked before being canned :)

Nope, you don't need to cook them if they're coming out of a can. I use them just like that in salads.

use 'em right outta the can.

I strain them and reserve the liquid.

I then use the liquid to get the consistency I want by adding back a TBSP at a time until it looks right.

straight from a can, you only need to cook them if they are in dried form.
