If you itemize, you must file Schedule A with Form 1040. You can't itemize with Form 1040A or 1040EZ.

Itemizing Deductions is only created when your Medical Expenses (excess of 7.5% of Adjusted Gross Income), Real Estate taxes on your home or other investment property,
Sales Tax, Mortgage Interest, Contributions and Employee Business Expenses (not -all-inclusive) exceed your "Standard Deduction".

Report Intemized Deductions on Schedule A of Form 1040.

Go to
www.irs.gov

You will find a place to help you efile for free. These programs will fill everything out for you and ask the appropriate questions. If you don't want to efile, you can print a paper return.
