Hello, I know I must have been very sad when I was young, but I had, Donny Osmond and David Cassidy, followed by Adam Ant, and Christopher Atkins (Blue Lagoon). If your too young to remember any of these..............whoops.....I'm Sozz!

When I was young I had many posters on my walls... running horses, New York City by night, dolphins, lions under a tree, Johnny Depp, T-Rex, a bottle of parfume, american basketball teams and cheerleaders...
But the best one was a great giant mega poster of the rock band INXS... with the man I have fallen in love : Michael Hutchence...

For me, this is a great question!
I had a huge film poster from Senegal advertising a film by Moussa Bathily called Tiyabu Biru "la Circoncision", which showed an african boy playing a double flute.
It was given to me by another senegalese film director called Djibril Diop Mambetty, who happened to be my aunt's boyfriend when we visited her in Cologne one summer when I was about 13 (this was in about 1980). He was a huge gangly black man with a small energetic son, and when he gave me the poster he sat me down for a chat about the importance of circumcision.
"You are nearly a man now, but to really become a man," he said, "you have to cut yourself like in circumcision. You can cut it here, or here, or here (he said, while pointing to various parts of his body) but you have to cut it."
It was one of those life changing moments, and I had the poster on my wall for years and years after that!

Marc Almond and Soft Cell were everywhere in my room, as were Duran Duran, The Human League, Depeche Mode, Fun Boy Three, Bananarama, Yazzo and everyone else in that genre. Marc Almond was the nuts though!

I think I am the OLDEST person answering. I had a poster of the Beatles and one of someone impersonating President Nixon taking a dump. (My mom made me take that one down.)
