Watch protien intake (meats, nuts, etc). Limit fluids, K (potassium which is found in many fruits) and sodium (salt which is found in many processed things, hamburger helper, canned vegetables, processed meats like lunch meats, etc)

It depends on what type of kidney disease you have and what your kidney function is (determined by laboratory values); also, whether or not you are on dialysis and even the type of dialysis it is. You should really meet with a registered dietitian in person; if you have medicare/medicaid, I believe it will cover up to three hours a year of nutrition counseling with an RD. you can eat what ever you want just as long as you keep it in porportions and dont over eat. this is helpful i lost about ten pounds in about a month
